Level 35

This year feels like a big one.. Welcome to 35! 🥳

It’s crazy to think that I’m already 35 years old when I don’t feel a day over 25, at least until I’m around any actual 25 year olds, that is. I guess I’ll always be young at heart; though maybe a little wiser and I can live with that. Here are a few of the random life lessons, I’ve picked up along the way:

  1. Make time for the things that really matter, like family, friends, health and play.
  2. Leave toxic environments. They’re more likely to change you than you are to change them. Lessons learned the hard way.
  3. Prioritize making memories over buying more stuff. Memories are forever.
  4. Travel as much as you reasonably can. There’s nothing quite like it.
  5. Make an effort to enjoy the little things. Life passes by so quickly.
  6. Don’t wait around for others to do the things you really want to do or you may miss out. Be brave; go solo.
  7. Never underestimate the power of a hug from the right person/people. It can make everything instantly better.
  8. Always trust your instincts, even when others may doubt them. We’re more aware of what’s happening around/within us than we may first realize.
  9. Learn to communicate, even when it’s hard. Your relationships will be better for it.

What I have also learned is that living life to the fullest is definitely my raison d’être and while some may wait to create a bucket list later in life, I’ve been hacking away at one since I was 15, when I first caught the travel bug on my highschool Europe trip. Here are just a few of the bucket list items I’ve managed to check off so far:
