Vision board created with PicCollage.
2018 was a roller coaster of a year. I have some absolutely fantastic memories from this year and some I could’ve done without. The vision board above is the one I made at the beginning of the year to help me focus my energy. I’m happy to report that I got most of these done and I’m super proud of all that I’ve accomplished this year. If you need a little help to focus on your goals, the Wheel of Life exercise is one I highly recommend. Not sure what types of questions to ask yourself while working on this exercise? click here.
There were many firsts:
✔ Girls Caribbean Cruise (you can read more about that here)
✔ Professional Massage
✔ Grand Prix at Gilles Villeneuve Circuit
✔ Swimming with Sharks
✔ Concordia Stingers Game
✔ Tedx Montreal (mixed reviews)
& lots of random adventures:
✔ US Road Trip: Boston, Salem, Newport, The Hamptons, New York City, Atlantic City and Philadelphia (you can read more about that here)
✔ White Water Rafting at Riviere Rouge (the washing machine tried to kill us but we survived :D)
✔ Rogers Cup Montreal
✔ Horseback riding in Cozumel, Mexico
✔ Visiting my bestie in Shawinigan
And then there were the not so great things:
• My bank account was frauded (luckily, I caught it early. 3 cheers for online banking)
• I quit a job I really liked (BS politics)
• My anxiety started acting up again 😦
• My bestie moved away (I mean I can still visit but it’s not the same)
• I got my heart broken (it happens)
I also met some amazing people, fell in love (clearly wasn’t all bad), finished my first year at Concordia with a 3.3 GPA and still going strong in my second; celebrated my parents’ 31st wedding anniversary, as well as, my best friend’s graduation from McGill nursing (that’s my girl), started doing promo work again, was able to become debt free (yay!), was asked to be a mentor at Dawson Eweek (so thankful for the opportunity), celebrated my other best friend’s zero waste product debut in stores (so proud! check her out here), another friend’s standup comedy debut (he’s hilarious, check him out here) and was involved in my second local Health and Wellness Fair.
All in all, it was a pretty fantastic year. Can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store!
Wishing you lots of love, health, wealth and happiness for 2019!!
