Celebrating 10 Years!

At 23, I hit a breaking point. Burnout left me with no choice but to step away from school and work. My body and mind were depleted and I had to rebuild from the ground up. Recovery wasn’t about quick fixes. It was about mastering the basics: eating balanced meals, prioritizing sleep, moving my body daily and finding ways to manage my stress. Those four pillars became my foundation, not just for healing, but for the coaching philosophy I follow today.

Where it all began

But my journey didn’t start there. I developed anxiety at 15, though I wasn’t diagnosed until 19. For years, I battled chronic anxiety. So, I learned firsthand that my mental health was directly tied to my ability to maintain basic habits. When my anxiety spiked, my routines crumbled. Understanding this connection helped me create realistic strategies to build consistency. This was especially helpful as someone who is neurodivergent and doesn’t fit into rigid health frameworks.

For 14 years, I worked in the ER. I saw countless people suffering from chronic conditions that could have been prevented, or at least better managed, with sustainable habits. It reached a point where I had to ask myself if I wanted to spend my career reacting to health crises or helping people prevent them. I realized I needed to create change on my own terms. So, I stepped away and into coaching. I wanted to empower people to take control of their health before they reached a crisis point.

My approach

My coaching isn’t just based on experience, it’s backed by proven methods. I use the APIED approach (Assess, Plan, Implement, Evaluate, Document), as well as behavioral change frameworks like the Transtheoretical Model, Goal-Setting Theory and Self-Determination Theory. Because I know that mainstream strategies don’t always work for everyone, I specialize in out-of-the-box solutions tailored to each individual’s needs.

I don’t believe in extremes. From experience, I know that real change comes from small, consistent actions. I once lost 40 lbs in two months. Not through fad diets or grueling workouts, but by making simple, sustainable shifts: eating better and walking daily. That’s the kind of transformation I help my clients achieve. It’s not just about weight loss, but the confidence and freedom that come with building habits that last.

Now, through Crawford Coaching, I help people who feel stuck, overwhelmed or frustrated by their health find a way forward. My approach isn’t about discipline or perfection, it’s about finding what works for you and making it stick. Yesterday was the best time to start, but now is the second best. Because it’s easier to maintain health than recover from illness and the earlier you start building those habits, the better.
