I feel like this year just flew by. One minute it was March 2020 and now 2021 is ending. What a ride!? So much has changed over the last two years…
The thing I am most proud of, is that I finished my BA this spring. This was a major bucket list goal for me, especially since my academic journey was a bit bumpy during my young adult years. You can read more about that here. Currently, I’m taking a little break from formal education, but looking into options for a possible master’s in the next year or so. I just need to decide which next step I want to take: an MA in Human Systems Intervention, an MA in Health Promotion or the ICF accredited Coaching certification program. So we’ll see how that goes.
Unfortunately, due to my school schedule this year, I did have to give up my permanent part-time ER unit coordinator position, so I was floating for a little while. I then got a position in the Orthopedics Clinic. I rediscovered that day shifts are still not for me, nor is clinic life. Even though it is a busy clinic, it was still a bit too slow for my liking. Then I did a full-time replacement in ER Registration/Admitting before getting a permanent full-time ER unit coordinator position. Score π I am now back in my, mostly, happy place.
There were also some major family milestones reached with a new kitten, a new baby, a wedding and new homes. All this in the midst of an ongoing pandemic. I can’t wait to see what the new year brings!
